System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

   at Pocket_Jongg.MainFrame.InitForm()

Please use the links above to download the latest version of DirectX October 2005 (Developers Redist).

Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 5 (JasJar and MDA Pro with Build # 14352 or 14354)

There is a known bug in Windows Mobile 3D infrastructure on these builds leading to two issues with Pocket-Jongg:

1) Windows Mobile 5 does not support 3D in Landscape mode

You have to rotate your device to Portrait Mode to play the game. If you rotate the device in mid-game, the screen will no longer refresh.

2) You might get the following error when Pocket-Jongg 3D starts:

System.MissingMethodException: Can't find Pinvoke DLL 'netcfd3dm2_0.dll' at Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.Direct3D.NativeMethods.Direct3DMobileCreateFunction() at Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.Direct3D.Manager.Initialize() at….(runs off screen)
To fix this, you have to reset your device in portrait mode, than the game runs just fine. Unfortunately after rotating the device this error might appear again.

The bug has been found by Microsoft and will be fixed in an upcoming update of Windows Mobile 5. The Dell Axium x50v with Windows Mobile 5 does not have this bug and allows rotating of the device at any time, including during the game.

Pocket-Jongg 4.2

Installation Requirements

Windows XP

Pocket-Jongg V4 is based on Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (SP1) and Managed DirectX9c (MDX) The installer of Pocket-Jongg V4 does not include these runtimes.

To get the .NET 1.1 Framework and the End-User DirectX9c Runtime, go to your Windows XP "Start Menu/All Programs" and select the "Windows Update". You will find the .NET Framework 1.1 and DirectX Runtime in the list of Optional Downloads.

To get the Managed DirectX (MDX) runtime click here and open/install the download.

Pocket PC

If you have an older Pocket PC (2002) you have to install the .NET Compact Framework (NETCF) first. We recommend that you install the NETCF SP2.

Click here to get NETCF SP2 from Microsoft

All later versions of Pocket PC (2003 and 2003 Second Edition SE) do already have the NETCF in ROM.

SmartPhone

If you own a Smartphone 2002 (Very first SPV from Orange) you cannot play Pocket-Jongg because SP2002 does not allow the installation of NETCF.

All later versions of Smartphone 2002 do have the NETCF runtime in ROM already.

Connectivity issues

Internet connection will be established during Pocket-Jongg registration

The only time Pocket-Jongg will try to create a internet connection is when you want to register your game with Pocket-Jongg.com.

In all other cases such as Score-Posting and Online Hiscores, Pocket-Jongg will only go out to the internet if there is an existing Internet connection.
